Saving National Assets

I watched the news this evening. The employees of Krakatau Steel were on strike. Why? They don't want the government to sell the company.

It breaks my heart to hear that the government is planning to sell stocks of 44 profitable national companies.Yep, you heard me right. It's OUR resources. No matter how hard the economical situation is, never ever ever sell the companies.

The selling is the first step. Then? We will lose the right to explore OUR OWN land. The profit most likely won't go to the people's pocket. If it does, a tiny percentage of it ONLY. Before you know it, you'll be the slave in your own 'home'. People decide for you. Don't say that it won't hurt us deep inside when we watch our gas, oil, coal, steel, and God knows what else, to be taken as commodities on a country's name. It will hurt us even more if we have to buy our own-land-provided resources at a ridiculous price.

So, Krakatau Steel people ....way to go,guys!! Save your company from 'new colonialism'. I'm sure they who still have nationalism running in their blood are behind you.
