The test result came. It showed six scores that are above 530: 542, 537, 537, 537, 536, 536. The last five sets consisted of the SAME number of correct numbers' composition. I found that hard to believe and after gazing at the list for a long time, I had the answer. My students had cheated.
This is an ambitious program. The success of the program depends on how the participants could reach the target. In this case, it's 550. Initially, their scores were in a range of between 380 to 540. And they got only 36 hours to increase their scores. They'll go to Singapore if they have that 550. Every Saturday, they are required to take the proficiency test. With these recent test scores from last week, as a teacher (normally), I'd be happy. I could let go. I could give an easy-going way of teaching style. I could relax a little. I could ....
But, could I ignore the fact that most of the 530s score holders do not deserve to go abroad? Should I neglect the smart students who crazily volunteered to have their friends copied their answers so they can go together in flocks?
I hope they are ready for a surprise this Saturday.... The test day .... Hehehe *devilish laughter*

I remember the old days of TOEFL preparation. Did all the tests from 2 TOEFL prep books that I had, memorizing all the problems!
Makanya lolos terus..karena ngafalin soal! Ask them to do the same thing!
Teaching those who don't want to be taught... Ever wonder why teachers must have the highest salary in the world? hehehe
