One of My Favorite Things

Out of so many kinds of food, when it comes to the fancy one, SALMON coming in slices is my favorite favorite faaaaaavorite thing! Thanks to my father's friend who introduced me to the idea of eating raw fish sometime in 1998, I am addicted to those juicy-orangy fish flesh ever since. Mmmmmmmmmm!

One of the best choices of salmon in the form of salad is the Chef Special Salmon Salad in Poke Sushi Resto. They serve the salmon slices in a special sauce. I tried making the sauce once by mixing a couple spoons of mayo, a little mustard and a few drops of sesame seed oil. It's okay but not close enough. I think I should use the crushed sesame seed instead (I am so close to making the salad my own version, Kenny!! :D ).

Too bad, salmon's verryyyy expensive! The cheapest one is sold in a street vendor in Kelapa Gading for Rp 24.000 for four rather thin slices. The most expensive one is in Sushi Tengoku. It's Rp 62.000 for four thick yummy slices! Aaawww!!!

But, you know what they say,'If you don't have it too often, you'll appreciate it when you finally have it.'

If someone buys me a portion of these precious slices, do not, I am warning you, do not be surprised if I am glowing like a virgin in love. Yep! That's the best way to describe how much I loooove it.
