Prejudice, Prejudgement

'prasangka' as a noun in English has meanings as follows:
  1. prejudice
  2. bias
  3. preconception
  4. prejudgment
  5. presupposition
  6. prejudgement
  7. hunch
  8. prepossession
  9. assumption
I meant to write a posting on this a while ago but never had my mind been so triggered by what recently happened. As far as my time in this world, I have been judged, criticized, questioned and assumed in many different ways by many different people. They are, honestly speaking, OK. I can take that. But not by my friends. Oh, no.

For example, Ms. X still asked me investigative questions about what I was doing with her friend on the way home after a party. Okay, she liked this guy. But we've been friends for more than 6 years! Or Mr. Y who got insulted just because I didn't invite him to visit an old friend's home. How could I? The plan was still undecided and finally it was canceled anyway. And then this Ms. Z who easily hit the ceiling when I mentioned something that's remotely related to a subject she doesn't like.

Is it really that hard to think positively until proven wrong? I think an 8-to-13 years of friendship is just enough to make someone able to do that. Now I don't only hate the person but I also hate myself for being too naive.
