Demands Granted

Anything about employee's affairs seems to fascinate anyone, including me. Working in branches means that I am demanded to think as an operation person in so many situations. I have to deal with personnel matters as detailed as their salary rates, their taxes, their health spending and others. Or perhaps, it's a choice? I mean, some people could be in a branch in my position but never wanting to know anything about those stuff? Hmm, I can name some.

For eight years, I have been mentioning about a standard grading system for the officers. EIGHT years. In interviews, questionnaires, meetings, dialogs, talks. In every occasion I could think of, I tried to bring up the issue. Perhaps the others mentioned the same thing too and then these people got really tired and issued a statement that they're going to create the system. Ah, finally.

Another good thing was the fact that some people could gain more amount in their paycheck every month. They'll get three times the amount of the one proposed initially! Good news, eh?

About this scheme, I'm sure many people had screamed about it for a long time (loudly, I hoped). My strongest voice was when all importantes were present during a meeting and I told them that the amount they'd mentioned would probably be enough to buy 3 kilos of eggs (at its present price). Some heads turned to see how serious I was. I smiled to the audience and yet my eyes didn't. They got the message. Hihihi.

Unfortunately, not all news is good news. There are some things which I think need to be re-considered. The fringe benefit arrangements, the fee for in house trainings and other details.

Considering how many blows this institution has to take at present, I don't think there's enough room to make some more projects, especially the 'revision' ones. At least not in the near future. Sooooo, I have to be more patient now. The key word is 'more'.
