The Independence Celebration & The Oldies

I was not surprised that my dad was the chairman of the committee. He was appointed three months ago and since that time he rarely went home before ten and complained about his tired legs more frequently. After his meeting in the local neighborhood administrative office (RW), he would tell me the progress with his happy tone, expecting a supportive face to be shown. He said that the preparation would be a good medium for the local citizens to gather and have something that they could all do together. The existence of a choir consisting of mothers and a band of old boys (all are approximately more than 45 years old) are obviously good examples of what he told me then.

What truly made me surprise was that the idea that my dad is going to read a short poem with the background song sung by the choir.... I could see that he was having a blast and enjoyed himself.

Hmmm....
The spirit of independence sure has an effect on the oldies....
