Last night, I bought several DVDs. Dunno exactly why I wanted to buy those and I am not sure if I still have the energy to watch them. Sometimes I get so tired. Often times I dozed off in front of a television at the beginning of a movie, you know... :-PSooo, what did I buy?A serial titled "Princess' Hours" (7 discs, 4 series per disc, which meaaaans there will be 28 series I have to watch....I think I've watched some series on television, but I think this is a movie that you've just got to watch as a complete series), Heroes (because I think I miss a part but I am not sure which one. 3 discs, by the way), and an anime titled "ORIGIN: The Spirit of The Past". The color of the animation is soooo rich. The drawing is sharp and its boldness is just enough to make it different from other 'softer' animation versions. The pictures and the color drove me 'crazy' when I saw it, so I decided to buy the movie, too.

The story is about the forest. An army of people tries to bring the past civilization back so their regime can take advantage of the situation. They have the help of a girl who woke up from a time capsule and she has the power to bring back the past.Their intention, however, is opposed by the power of the forest. The main character is a boy who got the power from the forest just as his father did. He manages to fight the evil army leader and makes the girl realize that she was being used by the leader.
My way of telling you the story makes the story seem dull and unattractive, perhaps. That is why I recommend you watch the movie yourself because the details of the story are just awesome, not to mention the rich and bold animation. Ahhh, you've just gotta to see it by yourself!!It's definitely an awesome movie. Children between the age of 10 - up will probably have no problem 'digesting' the flow of the story since some of the dialogs still need to be 'interpreted' in children language.

I think this is the second time I've watched an anime with forest as the centre of the story. "Pompoko" from Studio Ghibli was also focusing on a forest which several racoons wanted to protect from human intervention by disguising as ghosts and resembling people. That was quite a hilarious movie. It was fun to watch with kids since the flow of the story can sometimes be a bit confusing.
