Well, the flood destroyed almost all of my beloved plants and flowers. It's unavoidable, I know. We couldn't even save our cars, let alone flowers and plants, right? :-P
Since that last blog I wrote, I have bought some more flowers and plants. Too bad. The flowers with succulent stems did not survive. The water took the red lily, the newly-planted sirih gading in 10 small pots and made the tapak dara and the pakis rotten. I sadly cleaned the front yard and broke my heart piece by piece when I took the empty pots one by one. The garden I'd been dreaming of .... :-(

But... just like what the Javanese always say, there is always a 'fortunately' in every life happening. So, here goes. I'm going to say it.... Fortunately, (hehehe) the flood still left quite a lot just to make sure that I still keep my dream of having a garden going: jasmine, pink, white and red roses, kemuning, pandan, jeruk purut. YIPPEEE!!
And you know what? Yesterday I found the yellow hibiscus I have wanted for the last six months!!! Isn't that wonderful?
