After a week of collecting donation for the Kamal Muara fire victims, we finally could gather around one large container of clothes (most of them are for kids and babies), three medium containers of adult clothes, a large bag of pantyliners, eight cartons of powdered milk, two sets of breakfast cereal sachets, two packages of malt powder and a medium plastic bag of rice. And of course, money. Rp 420.000 in total.Considering the scope of the people who donated and the little amount of time, I am quite satisfied with the result. So, last week we went to PMI to give all of those with the hope that they would distribute the donation to the ones who really need it. From the PMI staff, we got the news that many of the Kamal muara victims already got help. Mostly from political parties. Well... It is okay, though. I mean, our intention to help really comes from the heart, thinking about the brothers and sisters who are in need. It really does not matter who will get it as long as they are the ones who need it. And then, it really doesn't matter also from whom the help did come from. It's the intention that matters.
What made me really happy was when I texted my friends to say my gratitude. Most of them said, "You're welcome. Anytime" or, "You're welcome. Looking forward to doing it again."
Now, THAT's what I call intention from the heart. :)
