For breakfast, you must try nasi jamblang if you are in town. They have plenty of the food stalls in front of GRAGE MALL in Gunung Sari area. Thankfully, some of them are open during this holiday season. The rice (=nasi) is in small packets of Jati leaves, only half of an adult's fist. A normal person can eat at least two packets of rice. To accompany the rice, the seller has a special sambal goreng (chili paste that is fried until fragrant and oily) and we can choose anything we like. In the past, this kind of breakfast was very simple and cheap. People used to have the rice only with spiced-whole-boiled-mini potato chunks, potato patties (almost like harsh brown but not grated), and fried salted fish. It's yummy already.
But, looking at the choices we have here? I couldn't resist trying other dish.
