One of the reasons for my long-but-short trip to Jepara was this child. My aunt has a grand daughter that I have never met before and she's already 2.5 years old! Well, that and the fact that my last visit was in 2003, back when my Mom was still alive.
My niece is a doll. She has this long thin hair which her mother loves to decorate with small rubber bands. Her clothes are many, a collection of stuff bought by her beloved grandparents who travel here and there. She's active too. She can't sit still. :L
One unique thing about her is that she could 'see' the unseen. At many times she mentions the word 'Babbo'. It's like a baby word. Then I asked whether she'd said the word for a long time and her mother said 'no'. I told her that it's probably one of her 'imaginary friends'. My cousin asked her where she's seen this 'Babbo' and she answered, 'It's at Oma's (my cousin in-law's) house.' What's so spooky is that earlier that day my cousin told me how eerie the house is. So full of ghosts. Could it be that her 'imaginary friend' is a ..... ? Thinking about it gives me goosebumps.
