Though many people did not say it outloud, I knew they have some reservations (of they call me 'crazy') when I told them that I'm going on a trip with a bus. In Indonesia, the word 'bus trip' is never put in the same sentence with adjectives such as 'convenient', 'safe', 'comfortable'. Sure, it's probably cheaper than buying tickets for other means of transportation, but who (NOTE: a lady) on earth would want to travel by herself? :v
You could say that this trip is a combination between testing my hard-headedness and having no other choice but taking the bus. The town I'm visiting is Jepara and there's no way I could go there one way. If I want to go by plane, I have to stop in Semarang and continue my travel to Jepara by another vehicle. This bus trip is 'convenient' in its own way. I just sit and enjoy the trip, whatever adventure it would take me.
The bus was nice, a shuttle one. Quite new, I must say. It's full of 24 passengers. I took the 'super executive' one. I figure accommodating my claustrophobic nature is important if I ever have to stay for 12 hours on a seat. :O
Similar to my last trip with a bus in 1994, we had to stop somewhere. The euphoria when the bus stopped was 'interesting'. I guess some people were in need of food, some others needed to pray and some more needed to go to the loo. :r

Can you imagine how you feel when you have to have an early breakfast during Ramadhan months? Not knowing where I was but in need of food and the loo, I walked like a zombie approaching the food table. :r Got to finish eating in 3 minutes, otherwise I'll miss the CLEAN toilet. When people swarmed the toilets after they're finished eating, I can be sure that they are not as clean. :#Afterwards, I stood beside the bus long enough to make my calves relaxed and didn't swell too much. After half an hour stop, we'd have to be ready to go.
That 1994 trip was really something, alright. I still remember every little detail on what to do when I'm at a 'bus stop'.
