Before you read this posting, please be informed that everything written here did happen. Secondly, as the main character of the posting, I have absolutely no idea what effect I have on people. So I've been told....
The story began when I joined this social networking site. So popular that it has caused so many reunions here and there. Take it from me,those events just never end.:P
We share basically whatever we want and write that down in our 'status'. Friends are then free to give comments. The site also provides e-mail like service. That's for messages you don't want people to read but you and the other party you want to talk to.
One day, a friend's hubby gave me his comment on my status.His words are mostly considered 'weird' by me. Strangely enough,the wife always gave her comment after his.It happened quite frequently and my instinct began its work, 'This is just not going to be good.' A message from the hubby asking for my number proved me right. I was still sane enough to refuse politely.
At other period of my networking time and after giving few comments for a friend's status, he sent me an email.
'Could I have your BB pin? Here's mine.'
'Nope.Sorry.A teacher just couldn't afford a BB. Hahaha....'
'Because you're a teacher, I want to learn.Is that OK (transl:Ngga papa?)? Or, not OK (transl: Atau kenapa kenapa?)?'
Paranoid by his last two sentences, I answered,'Learning English,you mean? Your English writing for your status is good.Why do you need an English lesson?'
..... (no reply).....
By the way, he's married and we never talked when we were in high school back then.
I've asked a friend for opinion of what had happened, just wondered what he might think about this. He told me that I was doing the right thing.'Better safe than sorry', he said.
How can I not be too careful? I don't know what make these people act the way they do. I didn't do anything. I didn't flirt, and I certainly have no interest of becoming 'a third party'.
The worst situation with similar 'context' when I learnt BIG TIME happened years ago. That taught me enough to just shut all my appeal down, if there's such term. :D . Maybe I haven't done enough.
But then again, why do I have to be the one who does something here? They should have known better, they know how to 'behave', right?
