In this 400th episode, I thought it would be the right time to write about something very special: FOOD. Hahahaha.Since I'm now still giving training for the 2nd batch, this topic is very much appropriate.
Why? Because the food is simple, nothing complicated. So homey, so close to what mom would cook. A set of dinner could consist of rice, warm vegetable soup with trickled-drop egg, slow cooked meat in rich dark soya sauce, fried tofu, stir fried anchovy with chili and green tomato slices, chili paste, fresh cut veggies and rice crackers.
The taste of the food? Faaaaaarrrr from simple, I must say. It's tasty, each dish tastes 'the way it's supposed to be'. No hotel-food like taste, no medium level type of heat in the supposed-to-be hot dish. What's hot is hot, what's sweet is sweet, etc.
Last but not least, the ingredients are always fresh. You can taste the freshness in every dish. One little note that most people don't appreciate much is how to cook veggies to their exact tenderness or crunch. This does separate someone who can truly cook with someone else who is an average.
Last week I and my fellow trainer stayed for 3 days. I think I've gained some weight. :-( This time, I will stay for four days and with all that temptations, I don't think I can avoid gaining more weight this time. *sigh. but then, giggle.hihihi.*
