I finally got her reply and chat between inbox messages. I gave her my number and she gave me hers. I planned to take her to some historical places but she's more into batik and arts. So we decided to go to the Puppet Museum (which I have never visited, btw.
After I picked her (the name is Jackie, by the way) up at the hotel in Pecenongan, off we went.
So there were we. Under the hot sun roaming the old city complex. The puppet museum was alright, enough collection to see. I told her some Ramayana, Baratayudha and some other epics and characters like Semar and others. Being away from my mom for quite some time, I feel that I am losing my memories on those interesting stories. *sigh* Jackie seemed fine with my limited narration sources and she said she'd look for some more info in the net.
I took her to Sarinah, a place that I haven't been for a long time, to show her the batik products. It was a quick browsing. We stopped at a corner and I found a beautiful purple batik and she found another one. It was on sale and it's 80k. She compared the two cloths and decided to take my choice. She looked so happy and contented. I was happy, too.
The next stop was a visit to Bakmi GM. I saw her friend suggested the idea and it seemed like an appropriate idea at the time to take her there. The day ended with a short visit to this favorite cafe of mine: PISA. She chose the oreo flavored and I, as always, the hazelnut gelato. It was a perfect closing to a nice 'date'. All in all, we were stuck together for about 6 hours and I was literally asleep as soon as I hit the pillow later that night. It was a great way to spend my Sunday. It surely is better than spending it alone at home.
