Keeping relationships with people is one of the things I do best. I do believe old friends are precious simply because I have to skip the tolerance part (because we understand each other so often). If you think that I make friends with people of my age only, well you're dead wrong. Deep down I am just a little spoiled brat who is hungry for attention and caress. Soooo.... I have older people as friends, too. Believe it or not.Socializing with them brings me comfort as well since I look up to them as my mothers whenever my hunger gets bigger and bigger as my hormone gets worse and worse. :-)
I've known her more than 10 years and we've had our own unique relation. We rarely spend less than one and a half hour to chat and can see eye to eye on many things despite the age difference of 32 years.
At the beginning of this year, she fell on her bottom and the joint on her left knee broke. It was broken so hard that she could bend her knee all the way to the back and side. The thought of it scared me. She had an operation here but the result was not satisfactory. The doctors who were supposed to evaluate her and make necessary corrections if something wrong had happened did not say a thing when she complained that her knee wasn't better as the doctors had promised as the result of the operation. So she went to Sing and the doctors took the pen out of her leg (pictured here) and replaced the deteriorated bone with the bone from her hips to help the development. She felt better after two months living in wheelchairs and when I visited her yesterday, she welcomed us on her feet with the help of a pair of walking equipment.
There are two things she told me to do: first, always maintain the strength of my bone because this is the real cause of her misfortune and second, have the bone density test every year when you are over 35. Those two I'm sure I'll remember....
