The Farewell Party

Two weeks ago we had a small farewell party for a colleague of mine. Her birthday, which was (unfortunately) her day to retire, was actually two days after the party. Since it would be on a Saturday, we'd decided to have it on Thursday.




It was a simple but sweet gathering. Almost thirty people came to join. The number was a surprise for all of us because we have never had such a large audience. For my colleague, the venue and arrangement were a total suprise since she'd only expected a private gathering in our teachers' room.
