Here is a list of why you want to stay away from a someone at the office.
Firstly, you don't want a colleague who tends to speak a lot. Pay attention to the word 'speak'. I don't use the word 'talk'. Get what I mean? :-D
If you can, you'll avoid a colleague who is self-centered. Very much so that the self-description part is literally 'mind-blowing'.
Somehow beyond looks and appearance, he has this huge admiration to his own self. A lady who asks for a piece of tissue paper may be considered a loyal fan. Be careful with the way you look at him. He may think you have some kind of admiration. :-) Now, that's someone that you have to watch out from. In everyday life, and at work.
If trustworthy is in your must-to-have-if-you-want-to-be-around-me book, minimize your interaction with this kind of person. You definitely do not want to lie awake until midnight thinking that what you told him might be used against you in the next morning. The constant thinking about whether he is telling the truth or he's messing with the fact for his own benefit is like a slow killer pill.
Of course, what is an office without someone who talks about you behind your back. There is at least one in every building. But when it happens almost everyday? Well, you have got to find time to find the solution and straight things right.
Last but not least, you need someone who can show the right and the wrong. Listening to one own's heart is compulsory. When this is gone, you're left with being stubborn, have no self-reflection about what you do in life, and worst, you will think that you're always right. Nobody's perfect, I know. But I also know that I don't want to be this person. One thing I also know, I don't want to be near with this kind of person.
So, stay away!!!!
