Surviving Part One

It's the third full day I'm in the new workplace. So far, I had signed a letter of notification, a half-centimeter thick financial monthly report (which I'd learned quickly the week before. Thank Goooood!!!), and a fund request (of course with that complicated signature of mine). 'Have a strong heart, Daff. ' I told myself again and again AND again when signing them. 'You can do this. Yes, you CAN.' Never in my life have I ever been so scared to sign anything before.

In fact, I was so afraid of making mistakes that I asked my boss to re-check everything that day. I have to put my signature first before she does on every released document. The subordinates always sign before the superior. It's a political thing. Since I know superficially about financial and non-academic stuff, it is normal to ask for a re-check. It was normal too when I was expecting her to check before signing.
