I've spent these past few days making myself known (as if my appearance were not enough
), socializing with the guys. Again, I am with staff that are men. All those men and none of them is available. Hahahaha. Anyway, since my working time for the time being is from 1 PM to 9 PM, I got my chance to meet the teachers as well.
After a while, I learn that a batch would normally consist of two officers and five teachers. It's almost similar to a Saturday morning batch in my previous branch, a bit quiet. What's so different is that here, five teachers is the maximum number. I mean, if you see five teachers then everybody's present. You can see this situation in almost EVERY batch. There are some with only one class. I was used to having more than 15 people chatting and shouting in the desk. So, it IS a huge difference.
Though many people have said that my previous position is a position with no clear job description, there were always something to do. Making the budget, making the payroll, creating new orientation, sending this and that, preparing this and that, visitations here and there. Mostly it was for our clients, the outside classes. Before I was stationed here, I thought 6 outside classes and 1,800 students were 'small'. It's because we used to having 2,000 to 4,500 students around ten years ago. Now I do know what 'small' number is. It was 386 students with no outside classes. This term it's 325.
Being supported by HQ could make us go with the first option, an easy one: staying in our own comfort zone. Less number of students means there's no headache to find teachers. The ratio of officer with teachers is just ideal. The rooms are rarely vandalized since not many people are around. No long queue during payment time. Everything is just, well, 'comfortable'. So, what if we need facilities? Or anything at all? All we need to do is ask. And I am pretty sure, we will get what we ask for. Life is just good. Or, is it really?

that's why history records people who do. Not who feel comfortable.
Being a leader with a new vision is not always easy though, Sis. :-)
