Jogja Day Three

I began the day by having a quiet breakfast in a crowded room. A large group came in, and I mean 'large'. About 18 people, mostly teens. I've felt much better after the early sleep. 'Better' means that my stomach didn't make the usual painful contractions. It's a big day and I was hoping that I could survive it.

Before noon I arrived at the premises. My colleague had been there since 8. Gosh. We'd probably finish at around 6 and she's in the office all morning? Tsk, tsk, tsk.

The administrative requirements, among other things....

We started by compiling the envelopes for the segments of the test we're going to conduct. Details were beyond necessity. We're representing an international institution and they have a very strict handbook of guidelines.

The envelope

The first envelope was for the posters and notices. The second was for the paper test for the research purpose. The third and fourth were for the next part of the test and the fifth for speaking. The last one was for the packing gray envelopes. We figured that taking all materials as a bundle would be confusing. During the preparation, I was happy to know that I am not alone in the meticulous organization business, if you know what I mean. :-D

The paper tests

The 3-segment paper test went smoothly. The last test was speaking test and we found that it's too difficult to handle for the candidates in Jogja. Before we knew it, all segments were done during magrib prayer time. That's not the end of everything, though. We still have to check the answer sheets, count and organize the test booklets, sign so many documents before putting all of them in the infamous gray envelopes and then sealing and signing them.

It was tiring for the both of us. I was on my way to the hotel when my watch stroke 7. I woke up the next morning realizing that I hadn't taken any bath the night before. And my stomach began to hurt a little. Hmmm.
