I got the order not more than a week ago. After finally managed to plan the syllabus and materials, I neatly have them organized into a module for an 8-hour session. It's not easy since it's my first time, not to mention I had no help preparing it. Sequencing on how to read faster, finding topics, reading elaborate case studies and writing the analysis in a framework are actually something I have been doing for the last four years. But, some things were different this time. There has never been a special request. And it has never been an 8-hour session at a meeting room in a hotel. It's only natural if I had restless sleeps a few days before the session, right? On the way to the hotel, I was surprised that I didn't feel so tense. I thought to myself, 'I hope this is a good sign'.The first batch of training (before lunch) went well for me but I knew they were struggling to read case studies as fast as I wanted them to do. The struggle continued after lunch when we had our third case study about medical plates when they had to read as quickly as they could and then tried to write the analysis based on the framework I gave using their laptop. I thought since the test will require the use of laptop and the managers have their own secretary to do their documents, the use of laptop in my class was imperative.
I thought the only problems I'd have would only be on reading quickly and typing. To my surprise, they still had problems turning on the laptop. Weleh...weleh....
After the laptop was on, the next problem arose: the format using Microsoft Word. OH,NO!
Then another: spelling. O MY GOD!!!
After that someone asked,"Is there a translation program for us to use." Someone else said,"Bu, maybe I can ask my secretary to type this for me during the test?" GUBRAK!!!!
They felt tortured alright....
